Devilled Ash Plantain

Recipe serves: 4-6 | Preparation Time: 15 Minutes | Cooking Time: 10 Minutes

Ingredients

Ash plantain - 500g

Knorr chicken seasoning cube - 1

Onion sliced - 150g

Green chili sliced - 1

Garlic chopped - 1 pod

Pandan Leaf - 1 piece

Curry leaves - 1 sprig

Turmeric - ½ tsp

Salt - 1 tsp

Chili powder - 1 tbsp

Chili flakes - 2 tbsp

Sugar - 2 tbsp

Oil to deep fry

Knorr Devilled Ash Plantain

Method

1. Cut ash plantain in to cubes. Mix with turmeric and salt to prevent discoloration. Heat oil and deep fry till golden. Set aside.

2. In another pan add 1 or 2 tablespoons of oil. Sauté garlic, green chili, rampe and curry leaves and sauté till fragrant.

3. Now add onion and sauté till reduced in half. Add the chili powder, chili flakes, sugar and sauté for 1 minute. Then add the Knorr seasoning cube. Mix well and finally add the fried ash plantain. Serve hot.
