Dhal Omelet

Recipe serves:8-9 | Preparation Time15 Minutes | Cooking Time5 Minutes


100g dhal

1 Knorr Seasoning Cube

3 eggs

1 small onion, chopped

2-3 green chilies, chopped

10g Butter

1 teaspoon turmeric

1 teaspoon chili powder


1. Boil the dhal in just enough water with the turmeric and chili powder. Just before the water evaporates, mix in the Knorr Chicken Cube.

2. Mash the boiled dhal well with a spoon or use a blender. While blending, add the eggs and Astra. Then, pour the mixture into a bowl and mix in the chopped chili and onion.

3. Melt a knob of Astra in a frying pan and add the dhal and egg mixture in batches. Let it cook halfway and then fold in carefully, to form an omelet.

4. Serve hot.

Chef's Tip

You can sprinkle a little thick coconut milk on the omelet when cooking, to make it creamier.
