Green Gram Battered Lotus Root

Preparation Time: 15 minutes | Cooking Time: 10 - 15 minutes | Serves: 4


1 cup green gram flour

250g thinly sliced lotus root

1 KMF packet

½ an onion

2 cloves of sliced garlic

Handful of curry leaves

½ cup of wheat flour

Water to mix

Oil to deep fry

1. Fry the curry leaves and pound it.

2. In a pot, add the green gram flour, wheat flour, onion, and slightly chopped garlic, along with KMF and mix well. Add water and mix to make it a thick batter.

3. Next dip the lotus root slices in the batter and deep fry until it turns gold in color and serve.
